For the past few years, a few of us have been running a dmonstration game based on the charge of the French cavalry at Minden. We bought and (mostly) painted in excess of 300, 28mm figures - much to the delight of Alec Brown at Front Rank We have run this as a demo game at a number of shows and I decided to replicate the whole lot on Irregular Miniatures 6mm scale to take to the Seven Years War Association Annual Convention in America.

This year we decided to try something different at Colours in Spetember...but with all that French cavalry hanging around the homes...it had to be Minden again. This time though it is a 'what if' scenario; what if Broglie had pressed home his attack on Wagenheim on the Allied left flank?

We hope to have a lot of infantry available for this game - 8 battalions of Grenadiers de France to name but a some - and of course a certain amount of cavalry. Anyway, here are the first of my French infantry to be completed.
